Everlasting Eyes is the first of a handful of brand new songs I wrote while producing the Molotov Valentine :: Revisited EP in 2016. Although I was focused on finishing that EP, I was playing so much guitar at the time that new riffs, melodies and song ideas were coming out of nowhere.
More tracks like this are coming soon, so please keep checking my page for more releases. THANK YOU!!
lyrics
Silent-movie memories
are spinning off the reel
and as it falls to the cutting floor
I remember how I feel
I can't hear what you said
I try to play it back again
but the film burned-through inside my head
Ever since you haunted me with your
everlasting eyes
no one else has ever looked at me the same
If anything's become a part of me, it's your
everlasting eyes
How could a godsend be taken away?
The promises we never made
ripped the two of us apart
the shrapnel from what never was
still floating in my heart
Too many things we never said
If I could have you back again
I would rewrite the film so it would never end
Ever since you haunted me with your
everlasting eyes
no one else has ever looked at me
the same way twice
If anything's become a part of me, it's your
everlasting eyes
I was in the dark
then I saw the spark
before I knew it we were up in flames
I never took a chance
after the second dance
and I'm the one to blame...
This is my repenting call
for all I'd done
to kill our love so young
Ever since you wanted me with your
everlasting eyes
no one else has ever looked at me
the same until tonight
If anything's become a part of me, it's your
everlasting eyes
I was in the dark
then I saw the spark
before I knew it we were up in flames
I took a second chance
I took it all the way
